Happy Birthday Toronto! 🎈 #TO187
It’s #WorldWildlifeDay, and this year’s focus is on the importance of forests, not only for wildlife, but also for people. Forests play a central role in sustaining the livelihoods of millions of people around the world, and are home to 80% of all terrestrial wildlife. The ecosystems they sustain are essential to global biodiversity, human livelihoods and the broader needs of societies and economies globally. Approx. 66% of the world’s forests are in just 10 countries, one of which is Canada.
