Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, India: Pure, raw silk (pic 1) is dyed and fed into a loom which is then used to weave the silk together by hand to make a silk saree. It takes 20 days to make one silk saree like this.
I spent my Saturday afternoon dropping food colouring into wine glasses filled with water, creating a time-lapse of the diffusion that took place. Here’s one still from the 100s that I captured. I’ll post the final time-lapse soon 🙂 It never ceases to amaze me that art can be created out of absolutely anything!

The weather is getting colder, and winter is definitely coming very soon! So I thought I’d throw it back today to an icy 2013 winter. They say this winter is going to be colder and icier, but on the bright side, I see a lot of photographic opportunities 😉
