So this is a super late post, but better late than never, right?
For a week in September, I had the opportunity to visit Sri Lanka with my husband and spend some quality time with family. For those of you who don’t know, Sri Lanka is a beautiful, tiny island, located just south of India. It’s rich with biodiversity and culture, and is just rebuilding itself after years of civil war. I was born in Sri Lanka, but unfortunately had to leave when I was just 2 years old, escaping the horrors of the war. My parent’s made that choice wanting a safe environment for us to grow up in. But I have always wondered what my life would have been like if we never left the island.
This was my husband’s first visit to Sri Lanka, and he was in love with it’s beauty and simplicity. He enjoyed the laid back life style up north and we made some pretty amazing memories.
