This picture was taken early Spring, 2014 at Riverdale Farm in Toronto, Ontario.
Today, it is early Spring, 2015.
Last year, during this time, I was spending my time improving my photography, finishing up my undergrad, and eagerly looking forward to starting the Environmental Visual Communication post-graduate program. My parent’s also met my boyfriend at this time and his family, and we were engaged and looking for wedding dates. There were probably a million different things that I was constantly worried about or stressed about, from school to the wedding to family drama.
Today, I am happily married, I graduated from the Environmental Visual Communications program a few months ago, and everything that I was so stressed about last year seem so insignificant. However, I have new thoughts consuming my mind, such as finding a job and saving up for our future, and making my photography studio plans into a reality, as well as some other health related concerns.
It’s interesting that no matter how drastically life changes year to year, there is always something new to stress about or worry about, as well as something new to look forward to and be excited about. I guess it’s all a part of life; a constant wave of changes, both negative and positive.
At the end of the day, all we can really do is live in the present, and be grateful for all that we have in this moment.
“Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness. How do you know this is the experience you need? Because this is the experience you are having at the moment.”– Eckhart Tolle
